Reach Aware - Digital solutions for businesses who want to work smarter

Partnership:

Reach Aware: is a UK based software solutions company, offering digital services that help businesses to work smarter. They offer flexible software development, support, outsourcing and consultation services across a range of industries.

Project:

FMI Applications: Reach Aware partnered with FMI to develop its Fatigue RADAR (Real-time Analysis & Diagnostic Assessment of Risk) platform which is a series of interconnected and integrated on-the-go, fatigue-risk monitoring and management applications. Ian Barber, MD of Reach Aware is also the Applications Director of FMI Applications.

Fatigue Management & Sleep Solutions Australia - Keeping your people healthy, safe and productive

Partnership:

Fatigue Management and Sleep Solutions Australia (FMSSA): provides expert, scientifically based, and operationally practical training programs, consulting services and technologies to minimise and manage fatigue-related risk. Principal Consultant, Dr Paula Mitchell BSc (Hons), PHD, MAPS, has worked with FMI for over 5 years.

Project:

'FATIGUE' mobile micro-learning courses: FMSSA has developed a unique interactive and engaging mobile fatigue-training programme. The series of short "in-your-pocket/on-the-go" five minute modules, provides flexible "pick and mix" training capability for the busy modern day, time-strapped mobile workforce. Integrated with FMI's Fatigue RADAR platform allows for tailored and regular fatigue-risk management, new entrant and refresher training.

Datik - Improving transport by I.T.S. Solutions

Partnership:

Datik: Is a Spanish telematics company and part of the Irizar coach manufacturing group. They provide 24/7 telemetry based-monitoring services such as journey management, maintenance scheduling, on-demand live CCTV and driver assistance technologies (ADAS) to public transportation operations to help reduce cost, improve efficiency, and enhance passenger & driver experience.

Project:

Transport for London: Datik partnered with FMI to enter a vehicle innovation competition tender put out by the Department of Transport in response to a research study highlighting the high levels of driver fatigue within London bus drivers. Transport for London (TfL) awarded the contract to Datik/FMI on the basis that the combined technologies could identify predictive patterns of driving behaviour that could be used to build risk mitigating processes and training awareness programs to keep both drivers and passengers safer.

Nerospec

Partnership:

Nerospec: Is a group of companies headquartered in South Africa, that specialise in Industrial Networks, Mining Machine Automation, IoT and Innovation. Nerospec provide full turnkey connected products to optimise operations, increase control and reduce wastage. Experts in underground communications, Nerospec are one of only a few global companies that can enable a full suite of underground mining smart applications such as machine to machine automation, production data collection and critical safety solutions such as collision avoidance.

Project:

Fatigue Monitoring in mining: FMI will be integrating its predictive ASTiD algorithm into a Nerospec smart-telematics pod that runs the same microcontroller chip set as FMI has in its hardware sensors. This will enable the smart-pod to be deployed very cost-effectively in many driving scenarios in the mining sector (both above ground and below) where operator fatigue is a major safety issue. The first deployments will be in Kazakhstan were FMI's partner Alpha-Safety has several interested customers.

Port City Innovation Hub

Partnership:

Port City Innovation Hub: is a programme of funded innovation accelerator support across Liverpool City Region led by Wirral Council in partnership with delivery leads The University of Liverpool, Wirral Chamber of Commerce, Mersey Maritime and Rainmaking in the Liverpool City Region. The programme is supported by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Strategic Investment Fund and European Union Regional Development Fund

Project:

FMI Applications: are developing new fatigue monitoring concepts and solutions that are specific and unique to the Maritime sector and associated industries.
Through the PCIH project, FMI has access to support for innovation strategy, research and technology expertise and market insights in order to develop fatigue-based applications suitable for the Maritime sector.
